We are ‘Partner Serwis’, a Polish Company which specializes among others activities, in comprehensive repairs and services of generators operating in onshore wind turbines.

What do we do?

Along the past 10 years, Partner Serwis has developed a comprehensive experience by repairing and fully servicing generators from a power rating of 250 kW to 3MW coming from European Clients.

We perform such repairs from our Polish workshop located in Legnica, in South West of Poland and so far, we have successful experience by fixing generators from leading Original Equipment Manufacturers such as ABB, ELIN, Indar, Leroy Somer, Siemens & Weier. We are ‘brand’ agnostic and believe we can repair any conventional generators.

What kind of services do we offer?

Each faulty unit that come to us is first going for a detailed diagnostic assessment that will allow to point out clearly to our Client the list of failures identified from an electrical and mechanical point of view. A technical & commercial offer is then done and repair starts provided the client has accepted the offer.

We usually carry a variety of repairs which includes:

• diagnostic testing before and after overhaul – (non-destructive) dynamic and static,
• root cause analysis,
• rewinding of all kinds of low-voltage generators (stators and rotors),
• rewinding of high-voltage generators with modern VPI or traditional resin-rich technology (stators and rotors),
• repair of magnetic core shorts (repackaging),
• replacement of laminated cores. Regeneration or replacement of slip rings, replacement of electric brushes and brush holders,
• rotor balancing,
• bearing replacement,
• repair of radiators, clutches, and other generator’s mechanical components.

All along the repair process, we are carrying out tests using state of the art equipment such as electrical tools, load tests, thermo- dynamical measurement and/or load test up to 1,2 MW in such a way that we are even capable to deliver a warranty period for our works (12 to 24 months depending on scope of repair).

Our organization is fully certified by TÜV NORD.

What is our DNA?

Decades of experience in the overhaul of rotating electrical machines enable Partner Serwis to offer a full range of repairs and maintenance services, as well as upgrades that improve generator performance or extend service life. If components are severely damaged or spare-part lead times are long, our proprietary, above-standard repair solutions (reverse engineering) allow us to restore generator operability. This significantly minimizes wind turbine downtime.

The experience of our engineers and staff enables the repair of virtually any type of fault in any generator design. The only limitation to our overhaul capabilities is the size of the autoclave used for the Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) system, with usable dimensions of 2200 mm × H 2000 mm.

At Partner Serwis, competence in comprehensive repairs, maintenance, and upgrades is based on the following factors:

• complete knowledge of generator design and operation,
• qualified engineers, technicians, and service personnel,
• a multi-location organizational structure covering all of Poland,
• modern, well-equipped overhaul and service workshops,
• proper management of materials and spare-parts inventory,
• responsibility for maintaining an appropriate level of service quality.
